Any Suggestions?

Ummm... so it seems I may be in need of some new eyeliner. *ahem* Duh. I'm horrible about makeup buying, because I'm so freaked out about buying the wrong thing and wasting money on something I wind up not using that I wind up not buying anything at all! And, it always seems like the "recommended" stuff costs a fortune.

These are, from right to left: *Some kind of Clinique brown that Mom gave me years ago and I haven't used in ages because it wouldn't sharpen anymore. (And I just don't wear brown eyeliner all that often, anyway, because my eyes are already brown.) *Black Sephora that I bought because I used Sarah's and loved it (Sarah! You have no blog. How am I supposed to link to you?), but there isn't one here and I'm not organized enough to order from online. *Gray something that Mom gave me years ago. (Is there a theme here?) I think it was from Costco. It's been my everyday-go-to stuff for a while now.

So, basically I use whatever I have that will work until I absolutely have no option but to buy something new. Then sometimes I'll get something and love it and think, "Why did I wait so long?" Or other times I'll waste money, throw my hands up in exasperation, and resort to waiting for Mom to give me the cast-offs that she has bought and wound up not using.  =^)

It looks like I'm to that "no option" part of the makeup cycle. So, any suggestions? There's an Ulta down the street. Anything from there? Something that will smudge a bit, and then set and stay? That would be perfect. But, I don't want to spend $25 on eyeliner! Really, $10 to $12 max. And if it's below that (I think the Sephora stuff was $7), I'll be way happier. (Way happier is correct grammar on this blog, fyi. But, only on this blog.) But, if I go into Ulta... or any makeup place, for that matter, they're going to try and sell me the expensive stuff.

Help me! What do you use that you love?

(I know my counter is dirty. Shush. If you're judging me based on that, then YOU come clean it.)

There IS a Sephora here! Inside the JCPenney's on Powers. Hope that helps.

I was just going to tell you what Kelly already told you. It's the JCPenny's that's near Dick's Sporting Goods and Best Buy on Powers. It's not as big as a stand-alone store, but they have lots of great lines and they do carry the Sephora line. I love the eyeliner from MAC cosmetics. I don't think it's outrageously priced (or I wouldn't buy it.) There's a MAC counter inside of Macy's in the Chapel Hills mall :).

Sorry... I do buy the (mildly) expensive stuff bc it really lasts and feels nicer(probably in my head). I use Melaleuca's Nicole Miller brand. LOVE IT!

A good, cheap eyeliner that you should be able to find at a drugstore would be Prestige Waterproof Eyeliner, it runs about $5 and I suggest the granite color. Also, a great makeup advice website is www.makeupgeek.com I love it! She has awesome video tutorials...amazing!

My eyeliner is my cheapest piece of make-up. My personal opinion is that know one can tell if your eyes are lined with a $25 eye liner you got a some fancy place or a $6.99 eye liner you for at Target. I just grab my basic black liner and brown liner from the grocery store. It works for me and I think it applies just fine. Once you have the liner on and you use the spongy end to smear you liner for the smokey eye look now one can tell. Save your money for some good face make-up ( I love Mac's compact, C3 please ; ) ) and a good mascara. But, that's just me = ) .
